Armor-Chilloz is an oil-based ferrofluid containing tiny magnetic particles. It bridges the gap between the stator and magnets, helping heat move into the rest of the motor.

Which motors can I use it in?
We have had no reported issues in our testing and use with factory XR motors. GT motors may have magnet-adhesion problems, and Armor-Chilloz is still an experimental modification.
We do not currently recommend it for third-party motors, including MTE and other aftermarket hubs. Their compatibility has not been established.
How is it installed?
Installation is easiest during a bearing change or hub swap. With the stator removed, spread Armor-Chilloz evenly onto the magnets, then reinstall the stator.
For a Onewheel GT, the amount is 7-9 ml. This amount applies to GT motors only. Read the GT motor and warranty notes before installing.
What should I know about risk and warranty?
Direct testing has been limited and long-term data is unavailable. The device manufacturer may cite use of ferrofluid as a reason not to honor a warranty. You are responsible for the risk to your warranty coverage and your motor.

How should I handle the fluid?
Armor-Chilloz contains hydrocarbons. Avoid prolonged skin contact and contact with your mouth, nose, eyes or other mucous membranes. Do not eat, drink or otherwise consume it.
If it gets on your skin, wash with soap and warm water until all traces are gone. Keep out of reach of children.
